Help with art portfolios
Winter & Spring
Help assemble and organize student portfolios so that our artwork can safely and beautifully travel home. It may be possible to schedule this volunteer job during your child's art class, if you'd like to catch a glimpse of their art experience.
Volunteer for the Fine Arts Showcase
MARCH 2025
Each year I recruit Lakeridge volunteers to assist with preparations for the Fine Arts Showcase, sponsored by the MI Fine Arts Advisory Council. Volunteers are typically needed at Lakeridge in March, for an hour or two at a time to assist with mounting student artwork.

From their website:
The Mercer Island Fine Arts Advisory Council (FAAC) is now accepting applications for board membership. We welcome you to find our more about us and consider joining our active and creative board of volunteers!
The Mercer Island FAAC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to supporting K-12 fine arts education in the Mercer Island School District. Our Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers, all parents of children enrolled across many grades in our district’s band, orchestra, choir, drama, dance and visual arts classes.
We meet monthly throughout the academic year. Our meetings are also attended by our non-voting district liaisons: David Bentley, MISD Fine Arts Coordinator and Julie Biggs, IMS Visual Arts Teacher.
