What Does an Instructional Coach Do?

An Instructional Coach plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of education at our school by focusing on the professional development of teachers.

  • Supporting Teacher Growth: As the Instructional Coach, I mentor teachers, observe their classes, and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their continuous improvement.

  • Modeling Effective Teaching: I also models best practices in the classroom, showcasing innovative teaching strategies to inspire and guide teachers in their professional journey.

  • Partnering with Teachers, Parents, and Administrators:  I strive to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and community members focusing on instructional leadership, school culture, equity and inclusion work in support of all of our students. 

  • Integrating Research -based Educational Practices:  Staying updated on the latest teaching practices, SOR & dyslexia pedagogy, gifted educational resources, and classroom technologies, I provide tools and strategies to teachers to incorporate in their classrooms.
