Dear Lakeridge Families,

SSALD (parents of kids receiving special services and learning differences within MISD) along with funding from MISD and MISF, are bringing the IDEA Project to the elementary schools on the island. The IDEA project is a one-week program that is custom-tailored for the elementary grades and offers an opportunity to create understanding and empathy by educating students about differences and different abilities. The IDEA Project takes place at Lakeridge next week, April 3 – 7.

The students will attend an assembly about different abilities and then participate in stations that simulate what different learners and those with neuro-diversities might experience. This is an incredible program and we are very excited to finally be able to make this happen!

We will need volunteers to help run the stations. Volunteer blocks are about 2.5 hours in length; please sign up for one of the slots via SignUp Genius.
