To celebrate Earth Day, Lakeridge students were encouraged to participate in an upcycling art contest. We had many wonderful contributions from all grade levels. The winner for K-1 was Hena Wang, grades 2-3 Madeleine Rogers, grades 4-5 Scottie Becker. Way to go Lakeridge Lions!

Taylor McAllister, an Educational Coordinator from the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, visited the third grade classrooms of Heather McLyman and Jon Davis at Lakeridge Elementary this afternoon.

I bring 28 years of experience in public education—as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator in both Washington and Colorado—and most recently served as principal of Finn Hill Middle School and the Environmental and Adventure School in Lake Washington School District.
