Pranit and Adrit Pradeepkumar Both Win National PTA Awards of Excellence
Mercer Island, WA, May 2, 2024 – Mercer Island School District students Pranit Pradeepkumar from IMS and Adrit Pradeepkumar from Lakeridge both won National Level Awards of Excellence in music composition for middle school and primary levels respectively in the National PTA Reflections Program.
Pranit won an Award of Excellence for his music composition titled Flair which was submitted to the 2023-2024 I am Hopeful Because... National PTA Reflections program. Pranit won at the middle school level.
Adrit won an Award of Excellence for his music composition titled Rising Phoenix which was submitted to the 2023-2024 I am Hopeful Because... National PTA Reflections program. Adrit won at the primary level, which is Pre-K to Grade 2.
This year, National PTA received over 900 submissions from 45 state PTA congresses. Both students artwork was reviewed by a national panel of judges and scored highly on their interpretation of the theme, creativity and technical skills.
As an Award of Excellence winner, they will receive:
• A $200 Young Artist Scholarship
• A silver medallion
• An Award of Excellence certificate
